Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
Spot My Seat (“we”, “us”) operates a live-events ticketing platform for Chennai and India. Contact: support@spotmyseat.in.
2. Data we collect
- Account: email address, name (if provided), Supabase authentication identifiers.
- Bookings: event selections, seat holds, payment references (processed by Razorpay — we do not store full card numbers).
- Tickets: QR payloads cached on your device for offline gate entry.
- Squad chat: message content between participants in event groups.
- Organizer tools: scan logs and attendance for events you manage.
3. What we do not collect
- We do not collect GPS or continuous device location. Venue coordinates come from our database; map links may open third-party apps at your choice.
- We do not sell your browsing history or use third-party advertising trackers in the app.
4. Ephemeral chat (72 hours)
Squad chat messages are retained for up to 72 hours, then automatically deleted from our servers. Do not use chat for permanent records.
5. Legal basis (India — DPDP Act)
We process personal data based on your consent at sign-in, performance of the ticketing contract, and legitimate interests (fraud prevention, platform security). You may withdraw consent or request deletion — see Account Deletion.

7. Security
Tickets use signed QR codes. API access requires authenticated tokens. Production services verify JWTs via Supabase JWKS.
8. Your rights
You may access, correct, or delete your account data by emailing support@spotmyseat.in or using in-app Delete my account in Profile.
9. Children
The service is not directed at children under 18 without parental consent.
